Now serving meals with extra helpings of love and compassion! After a long day at the hospital, sitting down to a warm meal with your family is a moment of peace and comfort for patients and families in MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital.
In this program, your group of up to 5 adults (age 18 and up) can donate and serve a meal to the families in our Ronald McDonald Family Room.
Our goal is to offer one meal every day of the year. We never close! You may have a catered meal delivered to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital and serve it to our families or drop off a meal that has been commercially prepared. Due to our immune-compromised patients, home baked foods cannot be accepted.
Add a Family Activity with your Meal Donation!Activities and events provide a much-needed lift to our families! If you would like to add entertainment along with your meal, it can help alleviate stress, gives the opportunity of quality time spent together not focused on health issues, and stimulates positive, hopeful feelings. Dream big for activities! Some ideas are bringing in a sports team mascot or players, massages, karaoke night, parties, game night, crafts or scrapbooking.

Houston's Ronald McDonald House offers a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Houston opened its doors in 1981 to offer a home away from home to the families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions. Houston's RMH operates several locations that offer home-like environments to these seriously ill children and their families:
- 70 bedroom House on Holcombe Boulevard
- 20 bedroom House inside Texas Children's Hospital
- 14 bedroom House inside Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital
- 10 Family Rooms at Texas Children's Hospital
- 4 Family Rooms at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital
- 2 bedrooms and 1 Family Room at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
Each of these facilities serves a different population. The Holcombe House is generally home to families from outside Houston while the in-hospital facilities primarily serve families from the greater Houston area. At RMH Houston, the families find comfort, encouragement and support from volunteers, staff and other families, who share similar experiences, during an unimaginably difficult time in their lives.
Ronald McDonald House Houston is able to provide these services because of the generous gifts of time and financial support provided by individuals, companies, and foundations throughout the Houston community.
