Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption had 22 greyhound adoptions by the end of May, 2015. We currently have over 30 greyhounds in our care and a number of adoptions pending. It is expected we will take in 70 more greyhounds this year. This success is the result of many volunteer hours devoted to the care of the dogs and to a team of volunteers who work to develop sources of funds to provide the finances required to support our mission. We need a volunteer is able to research possible grants that we could apply for and also be able to write the grant. Hours will vary depending on availability of grants to write approximately 4 hours per week. You will be working directly with our Director of Fund Raising. This is a great opportunity to help transition retired racers into couch potatoes.

Mission Statement
Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption is an all volunteer, non-profit organization that provides the opportunity to better the lives of ex-racing and rescued greyhounds by finding them loving and qualified forever homes in the Southern Arizona area.
To support this mission, SAGreys identifies caring and responsible homes; rescues sick, injured, and abandoned greyhounds; seeks to return lost greyhounds to their owners; teaches the principles of kindness and humane dog care to children and adults; promotes birth control by neutering or spaying all intake animals; provides pre-adoption health services; provides residential foster care to assist the greyhounds in becoming acclimated to a home environment.

Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption, SA Greys, is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving forever homes for greyhounds.
We are the new greyhound adoption group in Southern Arizona, with more than 70 veteran greyhound adopters and volunteers. Our members have 5, 10, 15 years experience in greyhound adoption. We have done it all - clean kennels, animal care, meet & greets, foster care, and, of course, adoption. It takes a devoted village of volunteerism to thrive and SA Greys will.
