Organized locally by I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD), Coastal Cleanup Day is part of the statewide California Coastal Cleanup Day and International Coastal Cleanup. It’s the largest volunteer effort in San Diego County, and we’re preparing to engage 8,000 volunteers at nearly 100 cleanup sites throughout the county. Description
I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD) is a widely recognized non-profit, environmental education organization committed to conservation and waste reduction. ILACSD operates a Recycling & Household Hazardous Waste Call Center, holds workshops, and provides community outreach and presentations throughout San Diego County. ILACSD has built strong partnerships with community members and local and state governments in order to enhance environmental education and awareness in San Diego. ILACSD provides pollution prevention programs and hosts other educational activities in order to create a safer environmental climate. Volunteer projects include community cleanups and storm drain stenciling.
