Voices Against Brain Cancer will host the 5th Annual "Join the Voices! Long Island Run/Walk" on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in Eisenhower Park at 8:30 am.

The charitable event will begin at 8:30am and feature a 5K run, a 3K scenic walk, kids races and a fun family festival. Funds raised will go towards the advancement of brain cancer research, as a testament of hope for the people in the world who are diagnosed with brain tumors. Local patients, doctors and caregivers will be honored for their valiant fights against brain cancer.

The mission of Head for the Cure is to raise awareness and funding to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. We accomplish this by hosting a series of 5K runs/walks and other events to raise funding in support of brain cancer research benefiting local beneficiaries and our national beneficiary, The Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC). We also provide support through our programs including Brains for the Cure, survivor luncheons and other community engagements. All of these events and programs allow us to raise funds, awareness and hope for the brain tumor community. Head for the Cure is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
