Mission Statement

Local Mission:

We empower women in recovery from drug addiction, trauma, and homelessness, providing important skills for employment and education while supporting long term sustainable recovery. Our newest goal is job creation which benefits both our women and the local economy. Additional initiatives include buying from local businesses and farmers whenever possible, cooperating with community partners, renewing neighborhoods, and implementing environmentally friendly operations.

Global Mission:

Our fair trade, organically grown, and sustainably farmed coffee enables farmers around the world to grow coffee instead of drug crops. Fair prices ensure education and health care for coffee farmers' children and protect the environment as well.

Description

Founded in 2001, Coffee Connection is a not-for-profit business that provides employment training and job creation for women in recovery from addiction through the sale of fair trade, organic coffee to retail and wholesale customers. In partnership with Project Empower, we provide comprehensive, continuous support for women on their journey toward a sustainable lifestyle.

Our three locations in the Rochester area are staffed by our program participants and offer fresh-roasted, fair trade coffee, sandwiches, soups and desserts. Help support our cause by stopping in to enjoy a cup of fresh-roasted coffee. Our customers say....

"It's the best in Rochester!"
