We're looking for volunteers to help us collect school supplies through the month of July for a back to school BBQ we're hosting on Aug. 15th in Irving.
We're needing the basics: crayons, color pencils, pencils, pens, highlighters, paper, construction paper, erasers, glue sticks, etc. This is a great project for a youth group, sports team, girl/boy scout group or even a business.
We'll have a pavilion, food, prizes and fun. Bring your own friends and family, too.

Magic Beans is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas. Our primary goal is to provide children and teens in developing countries with their most basic necessities. We had the classic tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" in mind. The giant Jack tackles in the story represents poverty to the children living in a developing country. The golden egg represents education and a brighter future overall. We hope to provide children with their 'magic beans': food, school supplies, clothes & other necessities. With them, they’re able to plant and cultivate a better future.
Description
We actively fundraise to provide basic necessities for children in developing countries. Necessities could include anything from food to clothes, school supplies to uniforms. We access the needs by visiting and spending time with the children we're trying to help.
