Come and help us teach the enjoyment of sport, the thrill of running, and the excitement of competition. Seventy-percent of the nearly 56,000 blind and visually impaired children and youth do not participate in even a limited physical education program. If you make the choice to volunteer with the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes you are changing that for at least one person. We would like you to join us to help youth learn and enjoy beep baseball and beep kickball.
To sign-up to hear about our volunteer needs in the Northwest please fill out our form at http://nwaba.org/?page_id=787. We rely on your support to make a difference!

Mission Statement
To provide life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
Description
The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
