Hospice Volunteers both give and receive many benefits from joining our team. Volunteers set their own leveals of commitment based on their available time and needs of our patients.
Direct Care Volunteers help by providing comfort, support and compassion by:
Visiting or calling patients and their families
Providing comapnsionship by talking, reading aloud, writing letters, looking at photos and sharing memories, watching TV, and listening to music are just a few samples of activities.
They provide the much needed breaks for cargivers in the home to maybe run an errand or simple take momenet to relax
Indirect Care Volunteers help by providing office support by Crafting projects, sending out mailings, answering phones, filing. This role is only limited by energy, talen and time!
No matter which route you choose, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of a HOSPICE PATIENT!
