Advocacy: Circulating throughout the event, you will ask participants to complete a postcard to be sent to their local legislator for support of Alzheimer’s legislation.

Trial Match: Circulating throughout the event, you will ask participants to complete a TrialMatch contact form. Individuals are contacted when a research trial is introduced, and at that time they decide whether or not to be part of the study.

Set-Up: Your job includes unloading the truck containing all supplies and materials, and assisting with set-up of special on-site areas.

Tear-Down: You will gather materials and supplies along with the tables and chairs from key on-site areas, and load the truck.

Volunteer Check-In: At volunteer check-in, it’s a great time to thank our walk volunteers while you verify the individual’s assignment and direct him/her to the appropriate area.

Car Greeters: This team will be approaching cars waiting to enter the parking lots, welcoming them and providing the event program as well as other information.

Greeters: You will greet participants as they arrive and ask if they have registered. Based on the individual status, you will direct them to the appropriate area.

Stop Here First: "Stop Here First" is the registration area. As a volunteer in this area, you will help check-in walkers and provide event wristbands.

Directional Guides: You will be positioned at strategic locations to direct and/or guide participates to specific areas. You are our roving ambassadors.

Champions Club: Support special giveaways and activities in the Champions Club for Walk participants raising $500 or more.

Refreshments: This team sets up the refreshment area prior to walkers arriving and replenishes food and beverage as needed.

Route Guides: You will place signs, banners and other visual elements as well as stand along the walk route to point people in the right direction.

Thank you Brigade: You will be cheering on our walk teams at the start and finish lines.

Flower Distribution: You will assist with distributing flower wind-catchers. The color of the flower designates the individual’s connection to Alzheimer’s.

Promise Garden Set-Up: You will assist with the initial set up of the Promise Garden prior to the start of the walk, and gather the flower wind-catchers from Walk participants.
