Position Summary:

Zoo Crew Street Team volunteers accurately and passionately promote nature conservation and the missions of the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation (ACNC) and Phoenix Zoo, while facilitating engaging experiences with Zoo members, guests and event participants for both onsite and offsite promotions. Additionally, Street Team members promote and publicize Zoo membership, special events, educational programs, group events, exhibit openings, volunteer opportunities and other special promotions. Offsite activations require the ability to manage the coordination, execution and tear down of special events and promotional appearances.

Essential Duties :

1. Promote the ACNC and Zoo missions, nature conservation messaging and initiatives, as well as Zoo membership, special events, educational programs, group events, exhibit openings, volunteer opportunities and other special promotions

2. Engage the public with enthusiasm and knowledge

3. Accurately provide park directions, event information and assistance

4. Represent the Zoo in a professional manner

5. Provide quality customer service

6. Problem-solve and be proactive

7. Regular and timely attendance

8. Flexible schedule to work days, weekends and some nights

9. Communicate with Volunteer Manager and/or Director of Marketing and Corporate Relations, as needed

10. Work 4 to 10 hours per month
