The National MS Society is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS and raise funds for critical MS research. Bike MS Coastal Challenge: Santa Monica to Santa Barbara is a two day fundraising event that raises over $1.4 million for MS programs and research.
We are currently seeking applications for a Volunteer Outreach InternHundreds of riders will enjoy breathtaking ocean views, challenging hill climbs and amazing scenery in between. There are multiple route options on both days, ranging from 30-150 miles. Mission Statement
The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS.
Description
Founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs, and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.
We do this through the extensive research we support to find the cause, cure and improved treatments of the disease; the comprehensive services we provide to people with MS and their families; the professional education programs we offer to assist health care providers better serve their MS patients; and through our advocacy efforts on state and federal levels to encourage public policies supportive of the needs of people with multiple sclerosis. This is why we at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society are here.
Volunteers are vital to the work of the National MS Society. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: to want to do something about MS NOW. Your valuable skills and fresh perspectives will make the Society a stronger and better organization. There are so many ways to contribute, whether through advocacy, programs, fund-raising or special projects. We can always use your help.
