As most everyone knows, next month will mark 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent levee failures. As part of our ongoing commemoration of the losses suffered because of the storm and the amazing resilience of the people of New Orleans, NOAHH is calling for volunteers for the entire month of August when we will be focusing on homes throughout the city that will be part of both our homeownership program and new projects to come. If you’re interested in participating, please reach out to me and we will welcome you (and your friends) to be a part of our month of remembrance!
We would be honored to have you join us during the month of August, as we commemorate the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and look forward to a city where everyone had a decent place to live.

New Orleans' citizens are faced with many issues which affect their quality of life. The question of safe, affordable housing may be the most pressing.Habitat helps to build homes for low- to-moderate income partners in need of secure, quality housing at an affordable price. We help families break out of the cycle of low-quality properties with high rent payments and into the world of reasonable payments toward home ownership.
NOAHH has many opportunities for volunteers to get invovled! We have new construction and home repair projects, as well as volunteer projects in our ReStore, and in the Habitat Urban Gardens (HUGs).
