Do you find it challenging to stay away from social media? Are you constantly on Facebook or tweeting? Does the thought of community engagement and empowerment through social media excite and motivate you? We are seeking a creative and motivated individual with a passion for social media communication to promote .
Main Details
- Weekly commitment: 3-5 hours/week, flexible schedule
- Length of commitment: minimum 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Director and Social Media Coordinator to implement the Social Media portion of our Communications Strategy
- Post 3-7 updates/posts on all platforms each week
- Write 3 short articles related to the organizations work each month
- Build and maintain relationships with supporters through social media
- Provide timely, weekly reports regarding the content posted to the Director
Skills/Qualifications/Expertise:
- Desire to help community through non-profit work
- Enjoy the use of various social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Creativity, friendliness and sense of humor a must
- Ability to both take direction and work independently
- Computer proficiency is required
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Description
The Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter organizes outdoor recreation for people of all ages, advocates for policies that protect our natural environment, supports environmental candidates for public office, and provides opportunities for people who want to develop leadership skills to give back to the community and help the environment.
