Join us Saturday, July 11th for food, fun, and beer all for a good cause! We need your help at Ex Novo's 1st anniversary! ( http://exnovobrew.com/#home) Check out Portland's non-profit brewery in action while giving back!

All volunteers must be 21 or older. All volunteers will receive a meal and a drink ticket (drink ticket to be used after their shift is complete- volunteers may not consume alcohol during their volunteer shift).

The shifts are:

11:00am - 2:00pm
2:00pm - 6:00pm
6:00pm - 9:00pm


The roles are:

·Door (2 volunteers per shift): One volunteer assigned to each end of the closed street. The volunteer at the north end of the street will work with Ex Novo staff to check IDs and put wristbands on guests, and help sell packages, and make sure no open containers of alcohol leaves the premises. The volunteer at the south end of the street will make sure no open containers of alcohol leaves the premises.

·Busser (1 volunteer per shift): the busser will periodically walk through the event, collect any empty glasses and return them to the kitchen to ensure an adequate supply of clean glassware, and clean up any spills/ empty plastic cups.

·Beer garden (1 per shift): the beer garden volunteer will work with Ex Novo staff to accept payment for purchases and check wristbands.

·Kitchen (2-3 per shift): the kitchen volunteers will help run food orders out to guests.

·Alcohol monitor (3 per shift): the alcohol monitor volunteers will watch for signs that someone has been overserved and work with Ex Novo staff if any guests appear to be problematic. The alcohol monitors will make sure that alcoholic beverages are only being consumed by guests wearing wristbands. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served in different cups so it will be fairly easy to monitor.
