Are you looking for a way to Do Something Grand for Grandparents’ Day and give back to area seniors?

United Methodist Homes of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that has been providing care to seniors for over 100 years. Our compassion and experience come across in all that we do. UMHNJ, in its charitable mission, provides over $12 million of uncompensated charity care to its residents. As a volunteer at UMHNJ, you can help us reach our fundraising goal and make the Walk for All Ages a success! The 21 st Annual Walk for All Ages will take place on Sunday, September 13 th at Francis Asbury Manor in Ocean Grove, NJ. Registration begins at 12pm and the walk starts at 1pm. There will be lunch, entertainment, prizes, and family fun.

As a volunteer, you will assist us in promoting the event to local businesses, our vendors, and communities of faith, as well as answering common questions about Walk registration, fundraising, and day of event details. We are looking for energetic individuals that thrive on meeting new people and making a difference in the community.

Description

The United Methodist Homes of New Jersey Foundation, established in 1985, supports the Missional focus of the United Methodist Homes. Acting as an independent entity, the Foundation helps and enhances the mission, philosophy and ministry of the Homes. It has its own Board of Trustees who govern, establish broad policies and objectives, and oversee financial resources to support the charitable mission of the Homes.

The Foundation conducts various fundraising initiatives including annual and deferred giving, donor cultivation and relationship building programs, special events, and various community engagement opportunities. These efforts help raise financial contributions for to support the charitable mission of the Homes.
