There are many opportunities for volunteers at the Northside Children's Community Library. Helping kids with homework, listening while they read, and playing games and other activities are just some of the activities for our volunteers. If you have computer skills we can always use volunteers for updating and maintaining our computers. If you have library skills and can help with cataloging books that's great too. And if you're not sure what you can do, we'll help you find what works for you.

About Northside Children's Community Library
Location:

Mission Statement
The mission of the Northside Children's Community Library (NCCL) is to provide free access to books and technology, innovative programming, and tutoring services to meet the educational and cultural needs of all Springfield area children.
Description
NCCL is located in Springfield's historic Enos Park Neighborhood. When the City of Springfield closed the North Branch Library in the mostly low income neighborhood, the children who used that library no longer had access to books or computers for studying and homework. Members of Third Presbyterian Church saw a need, the church had the space and the library was born. Although the library is affiliated with the church, it is a non-sectarian library and is open to all children in Springfield.
