Volunteer with children who are blind or visually impaired during music therapy group at the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI). Sing along with the group and play simple musical instruments during class. Provide physical assistance to children who may have functional disabilities in addition to visual impairment or blindness. Help the CABVI Music Therapists before, during, and after class one Saturday each month from 10:00a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
For the benefit of the children, make a commitment to complete all training and stay in this volunteer role until after the June music recital. Volunteer should have the ability to relate on a peer level to school age clients. This is an excellent opportunity for all ages including the young-at-heart, college students, and high school students.
