The Computer History Museum is currently seeking an energetic and qualified professional to serve as its Manager of Interpretive Volunteers. This role is a full-time position that will involve, recruitment, on-boarding, training, management and scheduling of volunteers, as well as volunteer appreciation, ongoing feedback and evaluation, and continuing education programs. Description
Established in 1996, the Computer History Museum is a non-profit entity dedicated to the preservation and celebration of computing history. From the heart of Silicon Valley, we share insights gleaned from our research, our events, and our incomparable collection of computing artifacts and oral histories to convene, inform, and inspire people to build a better world. It is home to one of the largest collections of computing artifacts in the world, a collection comprising over 3,500 artifacts, 3,000 films and videotapes, 5,000 photographs, 3,500 linear feet of cataloged documentation and gigabytes of software. The collection is housed in a Visible Storage Exhibit Area in Mountain View, Calif., in the heart of Silicon Valley.
