Become a FLAG Host Family and gain a family member for life!
ORGANIZATION: FLAG International
Please visit the new page to apply.
Since 1989, more than 2900 FLAG host families have welcomed international students into their homes! Over 60% of those students have later visited or been visited by their host family!
Hosting an exchange student is the sharing of cultures between an international youngster and your family: customs, friendship, personalities, even the food and the holiday traditions - it's a growth and learning experience for all involved. The choice to open one’s home to an exchange student is a life changing experience not only for host parents but siblings as well. Please contact FLAG Central Office +1(800) 942-3524 (FLAG) or email at contact@flag-intl.org for general inquiries and information or feel free to complete our online host family application at https://www.flag-intl.org/hostapplication.html
After the application is submitted, the host family will complete all required background checks and paperwork. From there, the family will contacted by a local FLAG Local Coordinator who will assist throughout the entire process to include reviewing student profiles and making a match. The Local Coordinator will also assist with the arrival, departure and and support of student and host family throughout the entire exchange experience.
