Our mission- to restore the connection between people and nature- is fulfilled in a very communications-centric way. We currently connect with people locally through our educational programs, environmental landscape design work, and events, but need to reach more people in our community- the city of Philadelphia- and beyond. Social media is a powerful way to reach many different audiences and bring awareness to our company and mission which is critical to our development as a nonprofit.

We are looking for someone with digital marketing and social media experience to help us develop a Strategic Plan for social media, provide technical advice about proper social media etiquettete, how to maximize the impact of each post, create social media campaigns, what types of content are right for each social media platform, and information about blogging best practices. This volunteer may also do some initial posting for us to get us started out on the right track.

Volunteer candidates should be well-versed in a variety of social media platforms and should have experience using them for marketing, preferably in a non-profit setting.

This opportunity can be fulfilled entirely digitally if necessary with meetings held through Skype or Google Hangouts. If volunteer is local to the Philadelphia area, in-person meetings would be preferred but not necessary.
