ORGANIZATION: PARfessionals

  • 7 people are interested

UPDATE: This listing may become available in November 2015.

We need bloggers from diverse backgrounds who can write scheduled blog posts. The bloggers will be volunteers who can contribute to our online social community known as the "Peer International Network" (PIN).

Selected candidates will write articles based on recent research for important issues. Relevant topics may include mental health, addiction, criminal justice, social services, military advocacy, workforce development, health and wellness.

Each submission must support PARfessionals' mission statement and core values. You can view all of this information at http://parfessionals.com

Future blog posts can lead to content regarding effective practices, continuing education and the international community.

We prefer that all submitted content will create a sense of community and easily provide opportunities for readers to submit comments.

We can accommodate the schedules of bloggers as long as deadlines are met and basic guidelines (ex. word count) are followed.

We hope to work with excellent writers who can help our organization build a strong and positive network!

If a blogger is successful with their submissions, we will feature your full name, photo and a short bio on PIN. We will also consider the opportunity of being a professional reference based on your contributions and efforts.

PLEASE SUBMIT A BRIEF MESSAGE AND YOUR RESUME TO THE MANAGER OF OPERATIONS, JULIE COTTON (julie@parfessionals.org).

If it is confirmed that you will be considered, then we may ask that a writing sample be provided or existing online content be shared.

Thank you!

About PARfessionals

Location:

P.O. Box 7014, Jackson, MS 39282, US

Mission Statement

PARfessionals’ mission is to provide affordable resources and training through education and skill development in a culturally sensitive manner to those that are interested in becoming peer recovery professionals (e.g. mentor, guide, advocate, coach, trainer, supervisor, researcher, supporter). We value the life experiences and educational pursuits that help define recovery and advocacy. By recognizing these as foundational tools, we are able to challenge the stigma and barriers associated with addiction and mental health by encouraging and facilitating recovery for all with proficiency and compassion.

Description

PARfessionals is a professional organization that was created to protect the public by maintaining and enforcing authentic global standards of training and ethics in the peer recovery field.

We will not be accepting any applications for interns or bloggers until early 2016. Thank you to all those who have applied so far. We appreciate your interest in assisting us.
