Spay and Neuter Kansas City offers a Wellness Care Clinic (WCC) for dogs and cats Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 3pm and every Saturday from 9am to noon. We offer low cost preventive pet health services such as vaccinations, microchips, heartworm tests, and flea and heartworm preventative, as well as working to promote our spay/neuter services to these clients.
We need volunteers to help staff the WCC. Volunteer duties include greeting and checking-in clients, running animals and paperwork, data entry, one-on-one customer service, monitoring animal behavior/crowd control.
Our WCC plays a vital role in ensuring that low-income households and potentially under-served members of our community have healthy and happy pets.
Orientation and training is required. The ideal volunteer for WCC positions is a people person -- kind, welcoming, compassionate -- who is flexible, decisive, and comfortable working in an often fast-paced, noisy environment. Retirees and college students with weekday availability -- we'd love to hear from you!
