A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)is an adult willing to speak up for an abused or neglected child. An Advocate is appointed by a District Court Judge to provide factual information on behalf of children in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Description
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Collin County is appointed by District Court Judges to serve as a voice for children involved in the court system because of child abuse and neglect. Volunteer Advocates speak up on behalf of children throughout the court process, with the goal of ensuring that children's best interests are served and that each child is returned to or placed in a safe, loving home where he or she can thrive.
