Table Angels are vital in maintaining a positive atmosphere at the drop-in center. Table angels help limit client drama and inappropriate language/behavior while increasing positive discussions and interactions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Talking with clients while they eat and are waiting to be seen by life coach
Provide positive support and demonstrate empathy ยง Assist with client’s children while client meets with life coach
Monitor client/children when they need to use the restroom which is located in the Food Services building next to the drop-in center
Request clients assist with cleaning up drop-in center

Description
Kids In Crisis-Intervention Team (KIC-IT) is a non profit organization that seeks to help the youth of Johnson County, ages 16-25, who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. The KIC-IT drop in center provides emergency food, hygeine items, rent/utility assistance, staffing/food pantry/mental health referrals, and much needed one on one counseling from trained life coaches. The drop in center is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6:30 and a hot meal is provided each day for anyone who wants to come in.
