The Foundation Fighting Blindness is looking for volunteers for the 6th annual Triad 5K VisionWalk on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Come join the fun!

VisionWalk is a signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Over 10 Million Americans are affected by blinding retinal diseases including macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome.

FFB is working to find treatments and cures for these devastating diseases. Funds go directly to support leading edge research in areas such as genetics, gene therapy, transplantation, artificial retinal implants, pharmaceutical and nutritional therapies. Since its inception, in 1971, the Foundation has raised over $500 million to research the causes and cures of these blinding diseases.

Come and spend the day with us making a difference in your community. We would love your help with set-up/breakdown, walk monitors, assist with kid’s zone, hand out refreshments/food and help us make the VisionWalk a great success! Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer. We always welcome youth clubs, corporate, and service-oriented community groups to lend a hand!
