All proceeds from the For Kids 5k benefit the children of Northwestern Settlement!
"The For Kids 5K seeks to promote health and fitness for inner city children by giving them the ability to increase participation in youth sports and recreation programs and providing additional funds to maintain or purchase new equipment for their physical fitness, play and athletic programs. We want to help our schools keep our children healthy through an active lifestyle and healthy eating initiatives. We also seek to promote fitness within our communities through the participation of friends and families with our children."
The proceeds from the event will be used to directly enhance the health and knowledge of inner city children and families thereby improving their lives.
- To help provide additional funds for the physical education, fitness, play and athletic program.

- To help our children live a happier, more active and healthy lifestyle

The ForKids5K is an event geared towards giving back to the community. In our upcoming third year we want to continue our service, but it wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our volunteers.

Description
We are interested in volunteers who will help set up the race, guide runners to the race on route, set up water stations, encourage runners, disassemble after the race, and store materials.
