Join us at Miami Marlins Park and give back to your community by helping raise awareness about lupus!

Lupus is an autoimmune diseases with no known cause or cure. It affects 1.5 million Americans and 100,000 Floridians, 90% of whom are women. Lupus can attack any part of the body including the joints, skin, heart, kidneys, lungs, brain, and all other organs. Lupus can range from mild to life threatening and does cause fatalities; yet, not much is known about this disease by the general public.

Walk to End Lupus Now events take place across the country and are the largest events nationwide dedicated to raising funds for lupus research, programs, and services.

We need the help of volunteers at our 2015 South Florida Fall Walk to End Lupus Now on Saturday, August 29 at Miami Marlins Park. Volunteers are needed to setup/breakdown the event, work in various booths/stations, help with registration/check-in, guide walkers along the walk route, etc.

If you are interested, please register through VolunteerMatch.org or by clicking here: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/vcp5a8Xxd30R97fVS

After registering, please expect an e-mail no later than 3 days before the event outlining final details about where to meet, when, and how to best prepare for your day.

We hope you will join us for this imporant awareness event in our community. If you have any questions, please call 561-279-8606 x 2 or email us at walk@lupusfl.org.
