Help keep the meals rolling at the Kent Senior Activity Center...

Packer: A Volunteer is needed on Wednesday mornings from 9am - 10am. As a packer you will bag the meals delivered weekly to homebound seniors. When a delivery goes well--drivers leave with the right bags to deliver and clients receive the meals they ordered--it's you we can thank.

Qualifications: Reliability, versatility, accuracy, creative problem solving, sense of humor, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound seniors. This is an on-going volunteer commitment.

As a Meals on Wheels volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Requirements: Complete an application. Consent to a background check. Be able to lift 15lbs. Be at least 18. Have a Washington State driver's license or ID.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
