We need volunteers to help expand our Poughkeepsie operations! We are rescuing food that would have been thrown out by restaurants, and bringing it to the people who need it most in the local community.
We need leaders who can inspire other volunteers to help us set up partnerships with restaurants, find other volunteers, and raise funds to help the hungry and reduce food waste!
Our volunteer events have been an average of half an hour, but you can string them together to do a longer commitment. We need people of all types of skills, so please get involved and come help us rescue leftover cuisine for the hungry!

The mission of RLC is to redistribute excess food to feed people experiencing food insecurity.
Description
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
