American Cancer Society patient support programs provide information and assistance to cancer patients. These programs include helping patients get transportation to treatment through Road To Recovery, providing information and one-on-one support for breast cancer patients through Reach To Recovery, helping patients deal with the appearance related side effects of treatment through Look Good Feel Better, providing lodging for patients through Hope Lodge and Guest Room Programs, and connecting patients to information and resources through Cancer Resource Centers.

Individuals in this role recruit volunteers for patient support programs within a specified geography of the Chippewa Valley. They are comfortable building relationships within their community, outgoing, willing to network and speak to groups of people about patient support volunteer opportunities, and are willing to ask people to volunteer. They will work with their local staff partner to identify volunteers needed, learn about the patient support programs, and target opportunities to recruit volunteers.
