Volunteers are needed to assist patients in registering for our new North Shore Community Health Patient Portal. Volunteers would be have an opportunity to work at each of our sites in Salem, Peabody, or Gloucester and stationed in our medical waiting areas with laptops asking patients if they would like to register for the portal and then assisting them with that process. The registration process takes approximately 5-7 minutes per patient and is done via a secure website.
Required skills include basic computer knowledge, ability to navigate a user friendly internet site, and excellent customer service. All volunteers will be have a CORI check and have to pass a HIPAA compliance test.

Description
North Shore Community Health has three family practice sites that include Salem Family Health Center, Peabody Family Health Center, and Gloucester Family Health Center. These sites have medical, dental, and behavioral health services and serve individuals and families of all ages. We also have two School-Based Health Centers (Salem High School Teen Health Center and Peabody Veterans War Memorial High School Teen Health Center).
No one seeking care at any of our sites will ever be denied access to services due to inability to pay. We offer a discounted/sliding fee scale based on family size and income. We also offer translation services, outreach and enrollment services, and health education.
We are governed by a Board of Directors where more than 50% of the Board are also patients.
