Whether you enjoy direct animal care, cleaning, gardening, fundraising, event planning, website & social media upkeep, special projects or administrative work, we have something for you! Volunteer once a week or once a month or whenever you have time although ideally we like to have volunteers come on a consistent basis. Training is provided.

Whisker City was founded in 1995 to help abused and neglected animals. The shelter is part of Blue Sky Charities, a non-profit 501c3 organization that focuses on helping both homeless pets and people. Whisker City is a no-kill shelter located in Shoreline and housed in a rental property owned by the founder and director, April Brown. Whisker City has placed over 1400 cats in homes in the area.

Mission Statement

Whisker City rescues and rehabilitates abused, neglected and abandoned felines and places them in loving homes.

Description

Whisker City is unique in that the organization focuses solely on the needs of the feline. 100% of the funds raised are used for care a nd shelter and finding forever homes. No money is used for education, lobbying or advertising.

All cats and kittens are provided health care and surgical alteration by Northgate Veterinary Clinic. They work in cooperation with the Feral Cat Spay Neuter project for alteration, vaccinations and FIV testing.
