Open your heart and home to an international exchange student
As a CIEE USA High School host family, you:
- Welcome a student into your home as a family member for one or two semesters
- Provide a bed and bedroom
- Provide an appropriate place to study
- Provide 3 meals a day
- Provide necessary transportation
CIEE hosts are curious, open-minded, caring, and willing to help a young person adjust and thrive ina new environment.
CIEE recognizes the many different types of American families and considers anyone interested in hosting. Host families share a strong sense for the importance of cross-cultural understanding in today's world.

Description
Founded in 1947, CIEE is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to quality exhcange and global learning opportunities. The CIEE USA High School Program is designated by the US Department of State to sponsor our students on a J-1 Visa to attend high school in America. We are approved by the Council on Standards for International Education Travel (CSIET)
The CIEE USA High School program sponsors international high school students from more than 55 nationalities to attend school and live with American host families each year.
As a CIEE host family, you will give a young exchange student the opportunity to discover American through your eyes, as well as open a window to a difference culture in your home.
