ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Texas

Carver Plaza is an affordable housing program for low income senior adults. We are looking for hair dressers to come to our apartment complex and provide free haircuts for our residents (males and females). Volunteers serving in this capacity will be required to set up and take down (including cleaning up) the space needed to provide the haircuts. Volunteers will be responsible for dictating their schedule and the number of residents that they can accommodate for any given visit. Hair dressers will be required to bring all tools/supplies for each visit. Looking presentable will increase the residents well-being and self-esteem. The volunteer will receive words of appreciation, big smiles, and beautiful faces in addition to refreshments.
