Barrow County Animal Control is looking for new faces to help us to provide care and enrichment for the animals here at the shelter. We are looking for motivated people!
We need help in all areas. Do you have community connections? Gather donations for our adoption bags. Do you have a gift of writing? Help get our Happy Tails Newsletter started. Do you enjoy getting to know a variety of animals hands-on? Learn how to temperament test the animals and match them up with a perfect home. Do you have time during business hours but can’t come in to the shelter? Round up businesses to support us in exchange for a link on our Facebook page and Website. Can you only volunteer on Saturday? Help us raise funds and adopt out great dogs at festivals and other events in the community!
Volunteering opportunities include
-photographing and the animals for more exposure for adoption
-helping care for the animals at the shelter (cleaning kennels, washing laundry, washing dishes, setting up kennels
-helping adopters find the perfect match
-helping at off-site adoption events
-public outreach and promotion of the shelter
***CHILDREN AND TEENS ARE WELCOME BUT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN***
