Center for Creative Education is seeking youth volunteers to have fun assisting our teaching artists and children in class. Once or twice a week Monday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Volunteers can help us with the reception desk, man the front door, students attendance (Sign-In and Sign-Out), pass out the nametags, monitor students while out of class (Bathroom, Water - Fountain), take photos of students in class, assist teaching artists and children, and assist with various other projects as needed.
Volunteers must be reliable, punctual and very effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a friendly, professional manner in all dealings with children, teaching artists, parents, staff and others.
This is a great opportunity for high school and or college students wanting to complete community service hours.

Mission Statement
Mission The Center for Creative Education’s mission is to empower our students to grow academically, creatively, and socially through arts-based education.
Description
CCE merges ART and ACADEMICS
Research shows that arts-integrated programs like those offered by the Center for Creative Education improve a child’s learning potential and academic performance, thus increasing overall enthusiasm about school. Working on projects with CCE artists also builds children’s self-esteem and encourages cooperation and team-building.
Last year, the Center worked with more than 12,500 children in about 70 school sites all over Palm Beach County. We provide after-school and in school programming to many students considered "at risk" or those in low socio-economic circumstances.
Our work is strongly supported by teachers and community leaders who look to the Center for Creative Education for innovative ways to engage children in learning and to fill their after-school hours with constructive, creative and educational activities.
Our staff and more than 40 Teaching Artists provide programming that currently fits into two program categories, In-School and Out-of-School activities, and is augmented by programming at our new building in the Historic Northwood Village area of West Palm Beach.
We have created very strong collaborative partnerships with other arts agencies. Past collaborations have been with: The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, The Norton Museum of Art, The Kravis Center, The Morikami Museum, Mounts Botanical Garden, Klein Dance, The Preservation Foundation, The Historical Society of Palm Beach County and The Palm Beach Zoo.
