Description:
Pet Assisted Therapy Storytelling is a very simple concept: Children read to dogs. The dogs listen and don’t tease, laugh, or judge the child. Pet Assisted Therapy Storytelling provides a positive, nonthreatening, fun environment to support literacy.
Activities
1.Communicate story time behavior expectations.
2.Direct interaction with dog and children.
3.Collaborate with library staff in selection of materials for story time.
4.The Dog must have passed Control Evaluation and be covered under organization’s liability insurance
