Become part of the community of a Little Bit school. A four person team will make weekly visits to deliver needed items for individual student. The role of the volunteer is to work one-on-one with each child to ensure that their basic needs are met. Each of our schools has a Little Bit boutique that we provide our services out of and where we can ensure the dignity and the respect of the child by reducing any stigma from our programming.
The Little Bit Foundation is committed to helping disadvantaged school children by creating a positive impact for personal growth, increasing self-esteem and encouraging a more focused and active learning environment. We do this by building strong relationships and partnering closely with St. Louis schools and by providing programs and services that are designed to serve the needs of the whole child in order to have a collective impact on his or her readiness to learn.
The Little Bit Foundation is currently in 20 schools, serving 6,000 children.
Our service delivery model is what sets Little Bit apart from other organizations. We have built strong relationships with schools in the St. Louis area by providing consistent, caring, loving and respectful programs. By delivering items and services to our schools each week, we are able to make a real impact.
Time requirements: Once/month up to once/week for 4 hours per week Mon-Thursday morning.
