The Mission of the Alliance of Filipinos for Immigrant Rights and Empowerment (AFIRE) is to build the power of the Filipino American community to expand human liberty and opportunity through grassroots education, action, research, and services. Serving the Filipino and other immigrant communities in the Chicagoland area, AFIRE offers programs in different sectors, such as human and workers rights, immigrant integration, community health, and civic engagement.
We are looking for a volunteer with experience working in HTML and CSS to redesign our organizational website. This Web Developer would meet with AFIRE staff to discuss desired website content and changes to be made to the current user interface.
Volunteer hours for this project are flexible to your availability. Our office is open for your use during regular business hours (M-F, 9am-5pm), but you may also work remotely at your convenience!

Since 2005, AFIRE has endeavored to build the capacity of the Filipino American community to effect transformative social change through responsive grassroots education, action, cultural identity, research, and services. AFIRE’s founders (academics, community organizers, and professionals) framed their advocacy around the tenets of movement building, social justice, and community development.
Description
AFIRE’s programs focus on four social justice issues: Civic and Community Engagement; Migration, Immigration, and Integration; Health and Well-being; and Human Rights and Immigration Advocacy.
