Are you interested in using your expertise to help a King County organization increase their fundraising capacity? Catalyst supports nonprofit organizations fulfill their mission and maximize internal systems that support fundraising success by aligning board and staff fundraising goals. We are looking for consultants with planning, facilitation, or fundraising development skills to serve in teams of two for these projects.
Time Commitment:
Catalyst is a six-month cohort program that runs from July 2015 to January 2016 (with a break in December). Consultants are asked to spend 10-12 hours per month (or 2-3 hours per week) with an average of two in-person meetings per month with your organization. Additionally, we provide two consultant roundtables during the program to support consultants, provide assessment, and facilitate peer to peer learning for all consultants.
Program Deliverables:
Consultants are paired in teams of 2 and are involved throughout the process by facilitating meetings and providing support to their partner. Fund development consultants lead the second phase of the program working on a 3 year budget, development plan, and case for support.

Description
501 Commons was founded in 1989 as Executive Service Corps of Washington. In 2010, we changed our name to 501 Commons, reflecting a changing role and broader range of services. Most of our clients are in the Pacific Northwest, but many of our services are available to nonprofits in other geographic areas.
Our name is based on the principle of the "the commons." The commons can be characterized as having five distinct attributes:
- Free and uncoerced participation
- A shared purpose
- Jointly held resources
- A sense of mutuality
- Relationships that are characterized by justice and fairness
Our Theory of Practice describes how we approach our work and our Team Charter describes how our team of 45+ work together to serve our clients.
