Volunteers are needed to work in the office of BJC Hospice, located near I-170 and Page Avenue in Overland. Office volunteers play a key role in our mission of supporting terminally ill patients and their families. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who prefer a routine schedule, or who want to help terminally ill patients but feel most comfortable doing so in a behind-the scenes role.
Our biggest need is for volunteers who can work on mailings to bereaved families, and volunteers who can do data entry documenting staff visits. Other duties may include filing, assembling opening packets for new patients, and compiling binders. No experience is necessary, but this role will be an especially good fit for anyone who's methodical and good with attention to details.
Volunteers can set their own schedule and come in during our normal office hours, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We do ask that office volunteers commit to serving at least twice a month.
All office volunteers will undergo a background check and attend a brief orientation.
