Volunteers at PTC have the opportunity to support the Arts in their community while seeing great theatre for free.
Front of House Volunteers are responsible for assisting patrons before, during and following performances with ticketing, seating, concessions, coat check, and donor receptions. Responsibilities vary by position. All volunteer positions require a full season commitment, from September to May; and must attend an orientation. Commitments range from 7-21 nights per year. All volunteer positions include the opportunity to watch PTC performances for free! Some include the opportunity to bring a guest. Upcoming performances include Oliver!, The Last Ship, The Glass Menagerie, and The Will Rogers Follies.
Current Volunteer opportunities include:
-Volunteer Ticket Taker: Scan tickets as patrons enter the building and direct them to seating areas. Miminum commitment 1 performance per production. (7 nights per year). Includes the opportunity to watch the performance while volunteering.
-Volunteer Concessions Assistant: Assist our concessions staff will ticket scanning, concessions sales, and donor receptions. Minimum 3 performances per production commitment (minimum 21 performances)--receives two complimentary tickets per production. (A ticket for you and a guest).
-Student Matinee Series Volunteer: Assist students attending performances by checking tickets, distributing programs, and seating students. Minimum commitment 1 Wednesday afternoon performance per production (may volunteer for two). Includes opportunity to watch the performance while volunteering.
-Volunteer Coat Check Attendant: Assist patrons by checking coats and distributing hearing assistive devices or seat cushions. Miminum commitment 1 performance per production. (7 nights per year). Includes the opportunity to watch the performance while volunteering.
-Volunteer Usher: Assist patrons by distributing programs, and guiding patrons to seating. Minimum commitment 1 performance per production. Includes opportunity to watch the performance while volunteering. ***This position is currently being waitlisted.***

Description
Pioneer Theatre Company is Utah's professional regional theatre in residence at the University of Utah. Pioneer Theatre Company produces a seven production season running from September through May, including a mixture of classics, large scale musicals and contemporary dramas and comedies.
The 2015/16 season includes: Fiddler on the Roof, Outside Mullingar, It Happened One Christmas, Two Dollar Bill, An Inspector Calls, Cowgirls, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Rocky Horror Show--Concert Version and three new play readings in early 2016.
