Job Purpose:
As an intern with the development team, your sole responsibility will be to implement and execute a Dance Marathon at your university in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. The goal of this intern’s job is to grow our Dance Marathon program to include universities in the Central Ohio area. This includes forming a new student organization, recruiting interested students to form an executive board and developing a complete timeline of events for successful implementation of a dance marathon.
Duties:
- Work with the Student Involvement Center to create a new student organization/governing body or establish a partnership with an existing student organization
- Develop leadership positions, expectations, roles, fulfillment of duties contract, etc.
- Recruit faculty/staff advisors and a 10-15 person leadership team
- Create a comprehensive recruitment and marketing plan for the Dance Marathon
- Hold weekly leadership team meetings
- Set fundraising goals and establish Dance Marathon fundraising events
- Market the Dance Marathon to the university community
- Implement the Dance Marathon with the help of your executive board
- Support the mission and fundraising goals of the Ronald McDonald House
