Comfort Zone Camp - A Safe & Fun Place for Grieving Children to Heal & Grow
Make a difference in the life of a grieving child - become a mentor or group facilitator! Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit organization that provides free therapeutic programs for children ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, guardian, or sibling. The programs include confidence building activities and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. We have several camp programs in Virginia, and we need volunteers! The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend a volunteer training - the next training is Saturday, July 11 9:00AM-3:00PM at Gather RVA (409 E Main St #200, Richmond, VA 23219). Check out the website for more details and registration: www.comfortzonecamp.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=699. Please email jschmale@comfortzonecamp.org with any questions.
