MS Slugfest is a coed, 16-inch softball tournament benefiting the National MS Society, Greater Illinois Chapter taking place every August in Chicago's Mt. Greenwood Park.
MS Slugfest needs your time and talent! Volunteers are key to making the MS Slugfest softball tournament a success. Help plan the event, cheer for players, run day-of-event activities, and so much more. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and complimentary lunch.

Job/Shift Descriptions
There are four basic shifts to choose from (all times approximate and may vary):
First Shift
6 am to 8 am
This shift includes Set-up and Volunteer Check In.
Second Shift
7 am to 11:30 am
This shift covers the first half of the tournament and includes Volunteer Check In, Team Registration, Food Service, Medical Support, Field Monitors, Bracket Board, and Mission Tent.
Third Shift
11 am to 3 pm
This shift covers the most the second half of the tournament and includes Volunteer Check In, Food Service, Medical Support, Field Monitors, Bracket Board, Home Run Derby, and Mission Tent.
Fourth Shift
2:30 pm to 6 pm
This is the final shift of the tournament and includes Medical Support, Field Monitors, Bracket Board, Mission Tent and Clean-Up.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer.
