Volunteer with ECOSLO to help pickup and track any debris that could be linked to the 2011 tsunami. This is a great one-time volunteer event. Other orgaizations that are supporting ECOSLO in this effort are: Surfrider, Morro Bay National Estuary Program and the Central Coast Aquarium of Avila Beach. Bring awareness to all these organizations and the work we all do by volunteering for this opportunity.
As part of a program of the California Coastal Commission, ECOSLO hosts regular cleanup events to remove marine debris from the coastline and collect data on debris from the tsunami.
We'll meet at the Sand spit parking lot in Montana de Oro on Saturday, July 25th at 9am and clean up debris until 12noon. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering and we will confirm with you via email. Thank you for your interest and support!
