Mary T. Hospice Care of Coon Rapids, MN is looking for volunteers for our growing Hospice program.
Volunteers play an important role, providing a comforting presence, companionship for our patients and respite for family caregivers. This could be something as simple as reading a book, listening to music, sharing stories with someone, looking at family photos or offering support to family members and caregivers. Visits are made in the patient's home or care facility. We are always looking for veterans to visit our veteran patients. We also have opportunities available for office help.
Training is provided and we can accommodate any schedule. Our Hospice patients live within a 15 mile radius of Coon Rapids, so traveling is minimal.

Description
Hospice Care is a personalized program of palliative and supportive services that provides medical, emotional, sociall, and spiritual care for patients with a limited life expectancy.
With your help, the patient and family can focus on improving the quality of each day rather than the symptoms and stresses of advanced illness. We bring the care to where the patient lives, enhancing the comfort and quality of life for the patient and their family. Whether in a private home, long term care facility or other alternative residence, timely and compassionate care will be provided.
