The fair is seeking individual volunteers for this year's, Down on the Farm, celebrating our rural history and rustic charm! Volunteering at the Fair helps to ensure that thos eattending have a wonderful, safe, and fun-filled experience.
Volunteer positions vary and you receive a parking pass and 2 general admission pass for every volunteer shift. Use the parking pass and one admission for your shift and use the additional pass at your discretion. Volunteer positions include:

  • Building Attendant
  • Kids Area Attendant
  • Barnyard Scramble Attendant
  • Parade Assistant
More than 600 shifts are needed throughout the Fair; following is information on volunteer shifts and dates:
  • Dates Needed: July 24 - 26, July 28 - August 2 and August 4 - 9.
  • Shift Times: 11 am - 3 p.m., 3 - 7 p.m., and 7 - 10 p.m.
Requirements: Attend a mandatory volunteer orientation, which provides specific information on volunteer roles & responsibilities. (Time and place to be determined; you will be notified.)

The Volunteer Program, housed in Sonoma County's Human Resources Department, places volunteers throughout 72 different county programs to assist departments in extending and augmenting public services they provide.
