We are looking for outgoing volunteers to assist with our annual CarFit event. Volunteers will be outside and on their feet interacting with the public. We'll need volunteer assistance with check-in, traffic control and inspections (training is provided day-of). Volunteers should be comfortable interacting with older adults, taking instruction and giving direction.

This event sells out every year and it will be busy the entire shift from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Snacks, beverages and a thank you gift are provided to volunteers. Service credit is provided for those needing it for school.

CarFit is a nationwide program designed to help older drivers find out how well they currently fit their personal vehicle, to highlight actions they can take to improve their fit, and to promote conversations about driver safety and community mobility. Culver City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department is holding this event in partnership with AAA and AARP.
