The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is hosting Take Steps West Michigan on June 6 at the John Ball Zoo Park. Take Steps events are fun, family-friendly events that raise awareness and funds for a cure. We are in need of volunteers to help in the Kids Corral area. Some jobs include:

Manage the bounce house - limit # of kids in house at a time, make sure they have no shoes and time the turns, etc.

Crafts - Help kids do sand art

Games - Help kids have fun playing games - potato sack races, hula hoops, baseball and more

Face Painting - help the face painter do some painting and help kids pick out designs before their turn

Description

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization aimed at improving the life of and finding a cure for the 1.6 million American adults and children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases. The Foundation maintains a presence across the United States, with chapters in every state offering support groups, educational programs, and fundraising events. On a national level, the Foundation hosts a variety of educational programs throughout the year for patients and professionals, including educational teleconferences/webcasts and its annual Advances in IBD professional conference. Its Information Resource Center, staffed by master's level healthcare professionals, provides information and support to the Crohn's and colitis community.
